The Ministry of Industry and Trade requested localities and EVN to review the solar power project, proposing effective solutions to limit the reduction of power sources already in operation.<\/p>\n

EVN is assigned to direct its sub-units to make a list with rooftop solar power systems with a capacity of 100 kWp or more that have been put into operation, and apply the FIT price in Decision 13. receive back these power systems to ensure the regulations on development, connection, date recognition, power purchase agreement and other regulations and send them to the local Department of Industry and Trade before March 11.<\/p>\n

The ministry also requested EVN to propose solutions to limit the reduction of solar power sources that have been put into operation. The Group is also required to send a representative to join the inspection team of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in this regard. Information will be sent back by March 12.<\/p>\n

The localities also have to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to review and evaluate rooftop solar power projects. On March 5, the Ministry of Industry and Trade established an inspection team for solar power development.<\/p>\n

In February, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked to control the development of solar power, not to overload the grid and cause negative consequences in the future. He emphasized: “Do not let solar power develop massively according to the movement”. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is assigned the main responsibility, in coordination with relevant parties, to review the overall review of solar-powered terrestrial and rooftop solar power projects.<\/p>\n

At the end of last year, EVN’s data showed that the total power capacity in the national power system excluding rooftop solar power reached over 62,000 MW, of which solar power on the ground reached 8,838 MW; Rooftop solar power is involved in supplying about 8,000 MW.<\/p>\n

The development of uncontrolled rooftop solar power sources is in line with demand, making it difficult to operate the national power system. The demand for electricity last year was also affected by the influence of Covid-19.<\/p>\n
